Diet
Omnivorous. Black King Kong Shrimp primarily feed on biofilm, algae, and detritus in the aquarium. They will also accept high-quality shrimp pellets, blanched vegetables like spinach or zucchini, and occasionally, small amounts of protein-rich foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp.
Community Compatibility
Black King Kong Shrimp are best kept in a dedicated shrimp-only tank or with other peaceful dwarf shrimp species. Avoid housing them with larger, aggressive fish that may view the shrimp as prey. Suitable tank mates include other dwarf shrimp species, small peaceful fish, and snails.
Gender Differences
Males and females can be distinguished by the shape of their abdomen. Females have a rounder and larger abdomen, especially when carrying eggs.
