Diet
Predominantly carnivorous; prefers live foods such as mosquito larvae, daphnia, and brine shrimp. May accept high-quality flake or frozen foods as part of a varied diet.
Community Compatibility
Suitable for community tanks with other peaceful, small to medium-sized species that prefer similar water conditions. Ideal tank mates include small tetras, rasboras, and other surface-dwelling species. Avoid aggressive or very large fish that may intimidate or prey on them.
Good to Know
The Borneo Redline Halfbeak is named for the distinctive red stripe that adorns its slender body, and it's one of the few freshwater halfbeak species that are adapted to life in acidic waters, making it a unique addition to specialized aquarium setups.
