The Calico Molly is a colorful domestic variety of Poecilia sphenops, recognized by its irregular mosaic of black, orange, cream, gray and sometimes reddish patches. Each fish has a unique pattern, ranging from lightly speckled individuals to boldly contrasting forms, and the short, rounded body is typical of the shortfin molly group.These mollies are active, alert livebearers that spend much of their time exploring all levels of the water.
