Diet
Omnivorous; requires a diet that includes both vegetable matter and protein. High-quality cichlid pellets, spirulina-based foods, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworms are recommended.
Community Compatibility
Due to their aggressive nature, they are best kept with other Malawi cichlids of similar size and temperament.
