Diet
Carnivorous. They primarily feed on live or frozen meaty foods such as shrimp, fish, worms, and crustaceans. Provide a varied diet to ensure proper nutrition.
Community Compatibility
Motoro Stingrays should be kept with large, peaceful fish that won't harass or outcompete them for food. Suitable tank mates include large catfish, larger peaceful cichlids, and other large, non-aggressive fish species.
Good to Know
Motoro Stingrays have venomous spines on their tails, so caution should be exercised when handling or maintaining them.
Gender Differences
Males have a narrower and more elongated pelvic fin compared to females. Males may also have claspers near the base of the tail.
