The Panda Guppy is a selectively bred variety of the ever-popular guppy, Poecilia reticulata, recognised for its striking contrast of dark panda-like markings and lighter body areas. Individual fish can vary considerably, with males generally displaying the strongest colour and the most elaborate finnage.Like other guppies, Panda Guppies are active, social fish that spend much of their time exploring the middle and upper areas of the water column. Males are smaller and more streamlined, while females are larger-bodied and often less vividly marked, reflecting the pronounced sexual dimorphism typical of the species.Wild guppies originate from northern South America and nearby Caribbean islands, where they inhabit streams, pools, drainage channels and other shallow freshwater environments.
