Diet
Omnivorous. They primarily eat algae and plant matter, but also accept high-quality pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms.
Community Compatibility
Rainbow Sharks should be kept with other semi-aggressive to aggressive fish of similar size. Avoid pairing them with slow-moving or long-finned species that may be harassed. Compatible tank mates include larger barbs, danios, and other robust cyprinids.
Gender Differences
Males may develop a more intense coloration and have a slightly slender body compared to females.
