Red Sailfin Cory Catfish Care Guide

The Red Sailfin Cory Catfish, Brochis multiradiatus, is a large and striking member of the cory catfish group. Its body is covered in subtle golden-brown, olive and bronze tones, often overlaid with darker markings, while the tall dorsal fin gives it a distinctive sail-like profile. Like other Corydoras relatives, it has a pair of sensitive barbels around the mouth and protective bony plates along the sides.This species is a peaceful, sociable bottom-dweller that spends much of its time exploring the substrate with its barbels. It may occasionally dart to the surface to gulp air, a natural behaviour made possible by its modified intestine, which can absorb oxygen from atmospheric air.
