The White Platinum Angelfish is a striking cultivated colour form of Pterophyllum scalare, displaying a pale silver-white to platinum body with little or none of the dark vertical barring seen in many wild-type angelfish. Its laterally compressed body, elongated dorsal and anal fins, and trailing ventral filaments give it the tall, elegant silhouette for which angelfish are famous.Like other freshwater angelfish, it is generally calm but can become territorial, especially when establishing a pair or guarding a spawning site.
